SouthWest Bank announces new oil and gas department, new staff

SouthWest Bank on Friday announced the creation of its new oil and gas department and the appointment of two new staff as the bank seeks to provide specific support to a major industry in the region.

The recent addition of Richard Davis Browning II and Wes Webb reinforces SouthWest Bank’s commitment to serving the oil and gas market.

Webb has accepted the position of Senior Vice President – Commercial Lender. Webb has over 25 years of experience in energy lending. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President – Account Executive at First Oklahoma Bank and Senior Vice President and Director at Bank of Oklahoma for 12 years. Webb holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas Permian Basin.

Browning accepted the position of Vice President – ​​Commercial Lender. He has been involved in financing oil and gas production in the Dallas area for the past seven years and most recently served as a portfolio manager with Texas Capital Bank. Browning began his banking career as an energy analyst at Comerica, Inc. and moved into underwriting and portfolio management with the energy finance division of Texas Capital Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University.
